For all you LCD hunters ( not laptop ones :-) ).
We've had an Eizo Colour Edge 21 monitor for a while , but because of
pressure of work , haven't yet had time to fully appraise it . However ,
having recently set it up with the proprietary software , we can say that
the initial results are very promising . Despite the debate on the pros
and cons of the virtual 10 bit processing , the monitor displays an
extremely smooth and neutral gradient from black to white after
calibrating and profiling , and shows detail well into the shadows .
And ....probably just as important ....for fellow demanding ( or should
that read shallow and easily visually impressed <BG> ) advertising
photographers like us .......you can get it with a black casing !
Next week will probably give us more of an opportunity to give a detailed
assesment of this monitor , so we'll report back then.
