Not sure if chromatic aberration is a "technical disadvantage of digital
photography." From what I have read, it's inherent in analogue too but not
so noticeable. It's more a product of lens behaviour.

Also, lenses specifically designed for 2/3" sensor digital photography
promise to reduce the effect.
