Hi Ellie, I bought one a few weeks ago, and, although I've not had a lot of time to really test it, I'm very impressed with it so far.
I was put off by the Nikon View software's interface, who's ugliness is quite breathtaking, and general clunkiness - taking about 30+ seconds to load on my G5. Fortunately Adobe released their latest RAW plug-in recently which includes support for the D70. Even better there is a beta of Capture One floating about which supports D70s, among others. The version I have is: C1PRO_35b2_v731 It seems pretty stable. Not as fast Adobe, but develops the files better.
