It covers fees and charging for equipment and post-production time. Having checked, the list mum is prepared to allow a limited discussion of this OT subject, as its of pivotal importance to the financial viability of the business of many here.
Thanks Richard.
I have been mulling over the weekend just how to form this very question to the pro dig list as charging is becoming more and more of an issue with clients.
One of my clients has just given me a hard time over my digital rates because another photographer charged far less than me for a similar job. If there were some sort of guide, both of us would be better off and my client wouldn't now be thinking I've been ripping them off.
I charge per frame, then for CD's /DVD and digital prints and I see from the US info I'm not far off for price but I still come in at the lower end.
So,
Is there a guide for rates in the UK and if not, can this forum with the AoP start to form one?
I do hope this thread continues as I too think it vital to the welfare of all of us for years to come
Cheers
