Burn the images to a CD and take them to boots! At 40p per 5x7, 720 images
will cost you just 288, compared to 20 rolls at 23 per roll costing you
460. That's a saving of 144 per job. If you do 48 jobs a year, you will
save 6912. Erm, you could buy a decent 35mm digital SLR, a couple of
lenses, a power book and some decent CF cards. Having paid for the equipment
in one year (assuming you do only one job a week), you can afford to throw
it into the Thames the next! If you do 3 jobs a week...well, if I did that
many jobs a week I wouldn't be reading this list for sure! <g>

Assuming you are playing safe and not actually providing 720 useable prints
on each job, you can sort your images on a computer into good and bad and
cut your printing costs by as much as 95%. For argument's sake, say the
client uses 50 images out of 720, Boots cost will come to only 20 per job!
Assuming the client uses only 25, Boots cost comes to just 10! At that
price, you could probably go crazy and order the 1 hour service! <g>
Compared to each film job costing you 460, you will save 440-450 a job.
Assuming you do 48 jobs a year...well, you can do the calculations...<g> OK,
I make it a saving of 21,120. For the unfortunate not living in the UK, at
$1.78 to a pound, that's a potential saving of $37, 593 dollars and 6 cents.

Now, how much was that K14 SLR/n/c?...2,750.00?

And it's good night from him...
