Thanks for the help I received of members of the list on the above problem. The problem turned out to be an "invisible file" contained in the folder. I paste below the text from Interarchy help which advises how to show invisible files: "How do I see invisible .files? Traditionally files starting with a dot (.) are not shown in listings to allow system files and such to be stored without cluttering the users view of the files in the directory. Normally Interarchy will not display files starting with a dot (.), but you can ask Interarchy not to ignore .files using the Ignore .files preference in the Transfers panel of the Preferences window <http://www.interarchy.com/documentation/7/windows.html#window_preferences> . If you turn off that preference Interarchy will display to you any files that the server displays to Interarchy. Many FTP <http://www.interarchy.com/documentation/7/glossary.html#glossary_ftp> servers do not display .files in their listings for the same reasons. Some of them implement a unix-style extension allowing a -a option to be sent to the LIST command to force displaying all files. However this is a non-standard extension and other servers may take this to mean display only files with name -a. But you can force Interarchy to send the -a option by enabling the Send LIST -a preference in the Transfers panel of the Preferences window <http://www.interarchy.com/documentation/7/windows.html#window_preferences>" Hope this may help anyone with a similar problem. PLEASE NOT THIS IS NOT A PRODIG TOPIC SO PLEASE DO NT ADD TO THE THERAD!
