Adobe have gone most of the way for you.
Here is a 10x8 with filename in top left:
Go to File Automate/Picture Package.
Bring up 2 5x7's (only because it is the simplest!) then press Edit Layout.
Rename it to 'Full 10x8' and click one of the 'zones' and delete it.
Pull the handles to create the image zone you want and Save it.
Back in Picture Package, choose 'Folder' - the one with 850 images contained therein. After deciding on font, size and colour, press OK and go to lunch and mine's a Bitter Shandy!
