Not necessarily so.

You might want to look at services providing dynamic DNS, such as
<http://www.dyndns.org/services/pricing/>

Static IP addresses can cost quite a bit more than a dynamically allocated
one from ISPs so the free dynDNS service may be all you want. A lot will
depend on your business needs - or your definition of 'serious' ;-)
