Paul, you may be interested in this link (see the last section in particular): http://www.mwords.co.uk/pages/cis/info2100CIS.htm > Also has anyone found a cheap source for a CIS? The price of these > things is pretty insane. 230 quid for some plastic bottles and tubes > is about as extortionate as the price of Epson ink. CIS costs may seem like a lot, given the comparison you are making. Doubtless you would like photography to be considered as more than pressing a button a few times? (as would I!) However, our cost savings estimate for that model (http://www.mwords.co.uk/pages/cis/costFAQ.htm#2100ul) suggest that with one of our inks, by the time you have used the first set of bottles, you will have saved close to 400, with follow-on ink purchases being around an 80% saving compared to cartridge costs. Savings using Epson original inks from large-format carts will not be as great, but still considerable. I hope the above is of some assistance to you, Nij Nigel Rheam www.mwords.co.uk Digital Fine Art =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
