Dear all,

With list mum's permission I am posting the following OT question:-

We are trying to view an internet camera stream from a D-Link DCS-2100+ on a
mac browser (IE 5.2). The stream coming from the camera is apparantly a mpeg
4 stream (H.263+ Mpeg short header format?). PC users can see the images
fine after downloading an mpeg 4 codec, but mac users cannot. Mac users can
SEE the camera, and have access to config etc. but no image.

D-link have told me today that there is no way to view the feed in the
normal easy way on a mac...

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get this to work. I was thinking
that we could use Quicktime Broadcaster on our G5 Xserve to stream the video
feed, but need to convert from the cameras video output to something mac
users can view through browsers...

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatfully received. Or please point me in
the right direction. I have already started looking at a few quicktime
forums

All answers OFF LIST please to graeme(at)touchdigital.co.uk

Many Thanks

Graeme
