Tim You have done the obvious will all three machines from the get info panel, and checked the sharing, ownership and permissions bit. These things mysteriously change on my machines especially after running things like Onyx and other repair utilities including the Mac OS own disk utility. I too have 3 machines on 10.3.4 and it sometimes happens here.
