Dear Richard. Please check your settings in the e-mail program you are using to entirely avoid sending messages in HTML format, as per the Guidelines.
Probably yur message came in html as you are responding to someone who initially posted in that format, but anyway this can be avoided from your side as to avoid further propagation of these html messages, which create LOTS of noise ,specially for readers of the Digest.
