well, if all else fails, you can try removing the flow system and putting Epson carts 
in, then taking them out again once the printer has recognised them.  However you may 
have issues with ink ph values clashing (I believe the Lyson inks are acidic when 
compared with other manufacturers).  to be on the safe side, get some cleaning carts 
as well.

PS: I've tried switching on and off the printer and pressing the ink cart
change button to no avail.
