Using batch settings so white balance, Exposure
and Focus were the same for both files. I then outputed them as Tiffs and
had them open up in photoshop. There was a noticable difference.
Malcolm,
I am curious to know more about the differences you found and what are the settings you'd changed.
I gave a try with the settings I was able to change, i.e WB, details and sharpen.
I tried in "Parameters" and change "Sharpness Levels" and "Pattern Levels", one 0/Rough the other 5/Fine, batch processed the two files, shot on a tripod, mirror locked up and remote shutter release. I saw no differences regarding sharpness. My C1 setting were the same for these processing (sharpness desactivated).
I also tried to change white balance, if C1 is set to "As Shot" I get different colours indeed, but if I batch process with the same C1 (say Daylight) colour settings I get no differences.
What I didn't tried was the tonal curve.
Looking forward for more info.
Regards.
