I am sure you have heard this a million times before but DROP MICRODRIVES before it is toolate!!!
I used two drives for two years (60,000 images) and they worked a treat but then with a dreadful high-pitched whine, they both failed within weeks of each other!!
Fortunately by that time, having heard of other disasters, we had changed to solid state CF cards and were only using the microdrives for personal pics. Had we not, thousands of pound of work would have been lost!
There are high capacity (up to 8GB) solid state cards out there. They cost a little bit more, but what price lost work?
