What you need is a 'blue screen'. This is a blue version of the reflective material used on road signs. You either have it flat to the camera with a very weak ring flash or at a slight angle. Should be able to get it from Samuelson's.

Hi

The other day I took pictures of ~500 items of "men's fashion wear" for a
trade catalogue. I've just had a call from the poor s*d who has been given
the job of cutting them out of the pics.

Does anyone have any tips/tricks I can pass on as to more efficient ways of
doing it in PS? Also would any particular choice of background/lighting
help in the cut-out process if they want any more?

bye for now
