Is there any software I could safely try to attempt to recover the data without screwing up.
Of course all my important data is also archived to CD or DVD, but there is a lot of material which is non-critical that I really want to keep :-)
Better, does anyone know the contact details for a technical contact at LaCie who might be prepared to help. There is no telephone support on their website and they ignored my emails last time I tried.
