I concur completely.  To my mind, one of the key elements of professionalism is not 
even contemplating using a piece of equipment for a job until you know it. If you do 
so, it is just asking for trouble, and yet people  continue to do it.  Digital imaging 
is a wondrous thing, but it doesn't do everything for you (or at least, not until you 
tell it to.... ;-)
