I have found the same, Running XPHome with 1.5GB ram with 95% allocated to CS originally I had all sorts of problems, stalls and crashes in CS. I only ever run CS on its own. Cranking it back to 85% seems to have fixed it. In Win98 on an older Athlon system I ran PS 6.0 for years without problems. I always understood that PShop would use whatever % you set of AVAILABLE ram, so if you set 100%, it would take all of the ram not used by the OS etc. It looks like XP or CS use Ram differently. I haven't found a definitive statement in any of the quite a few texts I have on what the optimum settings are for XP Page file settings and CS swap file settings. Anybody out there know?
