The thread you quoted is dedicated to Window users forum and I'm on MAC, that's why I had not seen it.
I have just posted a thread about this subject on the MAC side.
For the extra pixel they told it's related to picture quality, I'll not complain about some extra pixels if it's required for the quality they had reached.

There is a bug in the C1 3... release. I reported it early in the beta
testing but it still got through into the latest release. It is now
officially acknowledged and they are working to fix it.
