Philip, have you seen the Apacer disc Steno? I use one of those, seems very reliable, extremely easy to use, and is very cheap by comparison. Stuff in a 512 mb card and it burns a CDrom for you, which of course you can read in just about any computer (or DVD player these days as well, depending on what format you are shooting in)
