Solux lamps are effective, but IMHO, not quite all they are cracked up to be. The temperature is quoted at 4700K
One afternoon, when checking the temperature of my lightbox (don't ask), I happened to check my new and very expensive solux lamp (over GBP 100 ) and found the temperature to be - 4100K This is the guaranteed 4700 degree lamp (not the 4100 bulb), with the voltage table to within +/- 2V (checked that too. In dsibelief, I checked the temperature at every possible angle with i1 match & the eye one Pro....no better? I never did get around to calling outside in, but was not best pleased as the solux was the closest I could get to 5000k without going to full judge cabinet. > I am a happy user too of the Solux lamps. > Make sure you know or control the voltage applied to the > lamps since the > color temperature will vary depending on the voltage.
