When I balanced up my various bowens flash units I used coloured aluminium foil to get 
the
softboxes to a similar colour temperature.
Very Heath Robinson  ( but its what we do best  ) and its very effective.
They ranged from a 3k quad pack with 2x1 meter softbox to the little 20" x 20" units on
woodblocks.
Perhaps this may be effective on your lightbox Nick !!
