Hi All

I have to disagree with Richard as this is NOT to do with the technique of digital transfer. So please do not reply to this thread on list.

Some points.

1. The list mums have repeatedly asked, and I did so again in my list mum message today, that if in doubt about whether something is on topic or not, that you ask the list mum first.

2. There is a section in the Prodig Annex specifically devoted to internet connectivity. It is sadly underused. If you feel you do have good information to impart then you would be doing everyone a favour by posting it to the Annex for future reference.

3. The list owner and list mums do realise that the members of the list do collectively have a lot of valuable knowledge outside the digital topics that are allowed on the list. We will normally, upon request, allow a posting on such topics as long as it is made clear that it is not a topic for discussion and that all replies should be off list. And of course it would be very much appreciated if a resume of the knowledge gained is posted to the Annex for future reference by all.

Best

Since its about digital transfer I am sure we are OK for a moment<G> so I will respond. As a newbie to the wonderful world of ADSL (six weeks approx.) I did quite a lot of research before deciding on which ISP to go with.
