If you are using Mac OS X (I hope you are!) then, connect the 2 computers together - I think you may need a crossover Ethernet cable, but modern Macs don't need it to be - but the PC might.

Turn on sharing on the PC.

In the Mac, ensure you are in the Finder press Apple-K

type: smb://<PC IP Address>/<share folder name>/

then you should get a Username/Workgroup/Password box. Not sure what you put in for the Workgroup - depends on your prefs.

The other way round. Turn on Windows Sharing in System Prefences > Sharing.
Check what it says at the bottom of the screen about ...

Windows users can access your computer at \\<IP Address>\<username>

Go to the PC - Right Click on Start - go to Explore - enter :

\\<IP Address>\<username> and then put in username and password.

Robert should then be your avuncular relation!!!

Alternatively find out if there is a way to access the filesystem on your webserver and use the Mac to directly upload!!

I am still trying to find the answer to transferring digital images from a Mac to a PC so that I can use a PC to upload to a web control panel. Presently I am having to burn CDs of a few pix at a time but a cable or network connection should be much simpler? Is there a simple cable that will allow files/folders to be dumped on another desktop or how possible is it to get a PC seen on a Mac network?
