<x-tad-bigger>The image files will be imported into Final Cut Express, digital editing software for the mac. The complete 'piece' will be built inside this program, then output back to miniDV tape. The tape will then be used as the source for projection, ie a miniDV recorder will be linked to the projector system. Hope this answers the question..

I am really hopelessly out of my depth at this juncture as know nothing about the programme he is using so I cannot even start to ask him intelligent questions. As I said before the final projected image will be A1.
If he is using tape to record the images it suggests to me that the actual image size is not so critical as if one was loading from a catalogue but I would hate to be proved wrong.
