Dear List, I am having an ongoing problem opening tif files in Photoshop. The files were created from camera raw files on a Kodak 14N and open as normal in Preview and with I View but if I try and open them in Photoshop CS the program crashes.
This doesn't happen with all the images in a series only a percentage of them and frustratingly even some images which used to open with no problems are now causing CS to crash. I was wondering if it was because they had been stored on a Firelite Smartdisk and have become corrupted in the transfer between that and my internal hard drive (or vice versa) although it doesn't seem to explain why Preview and I View have no problem opening the images. The only other explanation I have is the files were saved as Tifs when I was using PS7 not CS. If anyone has any rhyme or reason I'd love to hear it.
