So, if I perform the same processing commands in Camera Raw Plug in as I did with the Nikon Program and look at the two results side by side, the Nikon Processed one is so much better.
Stick with Nikon Capture for exposure/white bal. etc and the conversion to (16bit) .tif, then do any other work in Photoshop.
