Strangely, I had exactly this problem when I was on OS9. It was cured by rebuilding the desktop. I'm not aware of any similar procedure for OS10 (that's not to say there isn't one), but having replaced the cartridge several times, cleaned the printhead etc, lost plenty of sleep, it cured the problem in under a minute. Does anyone know of a similar fix in OS10? Have you tried reinstalling the printer driver?
