When the 2200 indicates an empty cartridge it is still approximately 1/4 full. By resetting the chip you can extract this residual. Check the archives for more on this. After resetting the cartridge indicate full. I usually then run it to 3/4 full. Even running them empty is not harmful http://www.eink4u.com/epchre.html
