Hi all,

I've been waiting for iView to support the digital negative file format and
that came last week. I've just converted a batch of Fuji "RAF" files (S2) to
"DNG" and then catalogued them in iView.

The problem is that when I catalogue a RAF raw file I'm able to click on on
its thumbnail in iView and look at a clear preview, I suspect this is
because the RAF file contains a embedded JPG file. When I do the same thing
with the DNG file it seems that iView ignores the embedded JPG, or has the
Adobe DNG converter removed the embedded JPG?. The converted DNG files are
about 1MB smaller (no compression selected in the converted prefs)

Any ideas? I would like to adopt the DNG format but its a pain with the
limited preview.

Kind regards,

Neil
