Any comments about burning DVDs using Finder? Is there a good reason not
to? Or a reason why Toast is required?
I burnt one DVD yesterday which Finder reported as "failed" on checking -
but I can read it...
I only have an old copy of Toast Lite, which doesn't burn DVDs, so I always use the finder for DVDs. However, I have noticed that with CDs the finder only 'sees' about 660MB of available space on 700Mb CDs, and thus refuses to put a folder with 690Mb of files onto the disc. Toast displays 700Mb of available space and will successfully burn the same files on to the disc. I'm not sure if this applies to DVDs, has anyone noticed or could check this?
If so I'll be buying an update for toast, seems silly to be wasting storage space on every disc.
