Hi The problem is that due to the high IR sensitivity of silicon detectors, most chips have IR filters on them ... This also helps stop some clothing being rendered transparent ;-)
I've got some info at <http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/links.html#infra-red> Manufacturers go to some lengths to be able to reproduce the eye's spectral response, but I believe some old Sony cameras had quite high IR sensitivity and would take a glass IR transmission filter bye for now Keith Cooper Northlight Images http://www.northlight-images.co.uk Photography - Digital Imaging - Apple Mac Consultancy Tel +44 (0)116 291 9092 Mobile +44 (0)780 162 9397 =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
