I'm PC, Win2k-sp3, 1.5GB ram (60% to PS)
recently installed upgrade version of PS CS, now running alongside
PS 5.0
colour settings: Europe Prepress / Adobe 98 / Preserve Embedded
Profiles / Relative Colorimetric / BPC / Use Dither
Have noticed that images tagged sRGB do not seem to be displayed such
when opened/'do not convert', and mode/'convert to profile' from A98 to
sRGB also shows no visual change in image
the same images opened/'not converted' in PS 5 (similar colour settings,
Adobe98) show the typical over-saturation of an sRGB image (which then
desaturates on mode/'profile to profile' sRGB to A98)
unable to figure out what's going on in CS - can anyone offer me any
clues as to why this is happening?
