Hi List

I'm about to take the plunge into digital in the new year and the Canon 1ds
mk11 appears to be my best option for the work I do. When I will be able to
get my grubby hands on one is another matter..

I'll be changing from a Nikon film system hence I will need a new set of
lenses. I'm hearing different things from people regarding my choice of lens
for digital regarding problems with dust. Should I use zoom lenses and avoid
the risk of dust intrusion when changing lenses or go for primes, change
lenses more often but cut back the amount of dust I am told can be 'sucked'
into the system. I see the Canon as a replacement for both 35mm and the
Contax 645 system I use at present. I get by with four lenses on the Contax
fine but use zooms almost exclusively on the Nikons. Are there any Canon
lenses Canon users regard as a must have? I would be grateful of any
opinions.

Also can anyone recommend a good 'bible' for a digital novice. I try to keep
up with this forum but will be starting more or less from scratch and would
like to read an up to date book to avoid basic questions.

Thanks in advance

Jeremy
