Having been shooting RAW using a D60 for some time, I found the continuous file numbering system (xxx-XXXX) ideal for uniquely identifying an image to a client. I'm now using a 20D but find the continuous file numbering system now operates differently, and (to my mind) somewhat illogically. The on-camera info screen shows a similar file number format to what I've been used to on the D60 but when processed using Canon's DPP software, the number changes to "_MG-XXXX". Not sure if this is a quirk of the Canon DPP program or the way I'm using it. Has anyone found a work-around for this or know of any other software that can be used to process the .CR2 RAW image files whilst preserving the original file number?
Not seen any other postings on the subject so I'm hoping it's just down to my stupidity! Malcolm Jeffs =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
