Martin,
I'm using DPP version 1.5 which I think is the latest offering from Canon. I
also think that this program is "sluggish" I operation, at least when
compared to Dr Browns for example.
As David Hoffman quite rightly states, "the selection of colour space in the
camera makes no real difference
to the file when shooting raw". This is not the issue though! The point I am
trying to make is that the file number allocated to a RAW file (.CR2) is
aparently retained during a conversion in DPP from .CR2 to .TIFF provided
the target colour space is sRGB but not if the target colour space is Adobe
1998. Why on earth this should be the case completely escapes me at present.
