I think as soon as you subscribe to any web based forum you've made yourself
public.
I'm not really that bothered as the two email accounts I use for these kind
of things have got excellent junk filters  (demon.co.uk and mac.com)
That's about the worst that's going to happen I imagine.
As long as people don't start appearing at my front door with
Broken inkjets I'm fine with it.
