I'll try that on a new server.
Meanwhile, johnmcarr made python24 packages available for lucid: https://launchpad.net/~python24-team/+archive/python24/+packages "Not fully tested yet, and I think there is a bug upgrading python2.4 if you have the karmic one installed - for now make sure its removed before you use the one in PPA." I used it successfully for several Plone 3 installations (after uninstalling the karmic packages before). For completeness sake, to make the PPA available to ubuntu: # apt-get install python-software-properties # apt-add-repository ppa:python24-team/python24 # apt-get install python2.4 python2.4-dev -- Florian Friesdorf <[email protected]> GPG FPR: EA5C F2B4 FBBB BA65 3DCD E8ED 82A1 6522 4A1F 4367 Jabber/XMPP: [email protected] OTR FPR: 9E191746 213321FE C896B37D 24B118C0 31785700 IRC: chaoflow on freenode, ircnet, blafasel,OFTC
