IMHO, if you want your package possibly community maintained, plone's
collective is the place to be.

but i prefer to have a clone additionally on github, because of git
features. and the git-svn integration rocks, although it has some rough
sides.

however, this is a bit off-topic and i didn't really want to start a
religious discussion like this.
