Sounds super!
There's no policy regarding collective add ons, but I really encourage
you to make sure that there are multiple, reliable folks able to
maintain the pypi repository for the product. It's a key step in
building a product that others will use and trust.
This is, by the way, required for anything that's actually part of
Plone. At some point, Matthew Wilkes (IIRC) wrote a tool to audit PyPI
entries to make sure this was the case.
Wow, he sure did: http://pypi.python.org/pypi/mr.parker/1.0
There is also Andreas Jung's "crap finder"[1,2]

Hi,
I have posted a widget on pypi. It is a z3c.form version of
Products.DataGridField.
The package is svn'ed on Plone collective, but it is in PyPI under
my id.
Is there a protocol/guideline for assigning rights to PyPI products
which are svn'ed in the collective?
Thanks
Kevin
