We can't afford not to continue funding the war. The chicken-little-deficit talk has been going on since Reagan took office, yet we've seen nearly 22 straight years of record growth and
properity. Maybe the deficit causes prosperity.

It would be nice if you read and understood history and a little
economics.

Without the move toward balanced budgets during the Clinton
Administration, Reagan's deficits would have killed us.

Now that Bubba Bush and the RepubliCONS have run up
deficits that exceed all other deficit spending in the history of
the world combined, the Chinese are basically keeping us
afloat.

Eventually that dance will end and when it does, we'll all
being spending yuan's instead of dollars and saying 噢shit!

There are some irrefutable facts however, (1) We, (the U.S.)
cannot afford the cost of this excursion in Iraq and we certainly
cannot afford to keep funding it for much longer. We will reap
the economic reality of the already sunk cost sooner rather than
later. (2) nobody in this country truly gives a shit about the Iraqi
people and this holier than thou rhetoric of how "we're bringing
freedom and democracy to Iraq" bullshit needs to stop.
