Hi Leland!

Once upon a time, raising the minimum actually did create unemployment. The last few times it didn't, but they still fear it might.

Of course, most all people nowadays already get at least $7.15, and they can't live on that. The effective minimum is the level below which *no* one will work. This is usually higher than the legal minimum, nowadays.
