True.  I just looked up a bit of history:

* REAL Software founded in 1996
* RB released as a RAD tool for the Mac in 1998
* RB Pro shipped that could compile to Mac and Windows; 1999
* RB shipped product with native IDE on Windows; 2003
* RB ships where it can compile to Linux; 2004
* RB shipped product with native IDE on Linux; 2005

It's probably because RB was a Mac-only product for many years. The cross-platform stuff came much later.
