Depends who you asked.  His family may have had complete faith of a
recovery.  But that is not the point.  Advances are made in medical
science on an almost daily basis, so there was every chance of some kind
of treatment being discovered in the future.  Just because a treatment
is not available today, does not mean it will not be available tomorrow.

There is also a great deal more that could be done for patients such as
this, but they are blocked by your own President, who vehemently opposes
research that uses stem cells.  So before you go shouting at everyone
else as being hypocritical, you should maybe look closer to home.  The
biggest enemy to those patients with cerebral injuries is President
Bush.
