Um ... the way Windows works has been pretty much the same through
NT/2000/XP/2003 - apart from certain configuration things being moved.

So your Mac GUI looks like OS 9 does it :) ??

As I've said before you can make Vista look like anything from 95
onward. It has to run on servers too remember. There have even been
noises about a GUI-less version.
