Hal, I know I know. However I've been looking at that bloody M$ hill on my screen for over 2 years now and I just fancied a change. The nice thing is ai can at least set the system back as it was - which is more than you can say if you install Vista!

Ed, I agree completely and I for one will NOT be transferring over to Vista unless some better reasons to do so are apparent. I've run the Beta and in a couple of words it stinks - apart from the eye candy which is quite neat - hence the link as you get the eye candy with an O/S you at least know about. If I could only run VFP9 on Linux I'd gladly junk the whole lot but you know the potential pitfalls in doing that ala Paul McNett, so meanwhile any improvement to the look/feel of XP at no cost is welcome. And it at least makes my PC look and feel a BIT like a Mac even though it's not! I always love how new versions of Windows distinguish themselves by not looking/working the same as the previous versions, yet Windows users whine about hard it is to use Linux because it doesn't look or work exactly like Windows does! Why would anyone want to switch to the Vista look when XP was supposedly such an improvement over 2000? -- Ed Leafe -- http://leafe.com -- http://dabodev.com [excessive quoting removed by server] _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profox OT-free version of this list: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/profoxtech ** All postings, unless explicitly stated otherwise, are the opinions of the author, and do not constitute legal or medical advice.
