That did it. While I had to quit VFP via the task manager. I reloaded the
project and commented out those lines of method code in the load event of
the form which has the options to run the several examples of the classes. 

Voila! thanks.  I hope this discussion also helps Chet, who I'm sure will be
looking at it.

Looks odd - that a form's LOAD event is issuing ON SHUTDOWN like that.
This setting controls what happens when you try to exit VFP, and that's not
really a forms business. 

I'd try commenting these six lines out to see if that gets you where you
want to be.
