Part of the game, and most sports, is "getting into your opponent's head", and Materazzi apparently succeeded in making Zidane focus on him and not the match at hand.

A real strategy had been made by italians about that ; if it is not possible to break him physically, try to hurt him ; so there is a team responsibility in this mess.

The principle was only to win, nevertheless the collateral damages.

I mean, that's a real problem. What can we hope from men whose life is not expected more than doing not "their" best, but "the" best ?
