Mark, there are some alternatives out there, but all come with caveats or shortcomings:
1. You like Apache? Active FoxPro Pages runs in Apache on a Wintel Box (ya, I know, not what you want or like, but you can reuse non-visual vfp classlibraries there) see http://www.afpages.de 2. FlagShip, first touted as a Clipper Compiler for Unix, ported to Linux, been out since '96. Has a CGI extension, so can be used in LAMP architecture (among other things) - see http://www.fship.com/ and is now cross-platform 3. xHarbour - cross platform - see http://xharbour.com/ Has extensions for PDA, Palm, Pocket PC, webservers. 4. xbase++ - was some rumour it was going to be ported to linux early last year, but it really didn't materialize , but has interfaces for web services for IIS and WinApache - see http://www.alaska-software.com/ 5. dBase !!! you'll have to find that one on yer own, but it's been ported. I still think WAMP with AFP is a win-win situation, and you can host yer own server if you will have clients that use what ever your write on that server. Good Luck with yer search, Mark - let me know what you finally settle into ? mondo regards [Bill] -- William Sanders / efGroup {rmv the DOT BOB to reply} VFP Webhosting?
